Memorial

The Memorial celebrates the long life of a patriotic, dutiful son. Fok Ying Tung was a pivotal figure in the reform and rejuvenation of China. His contributions to the cause of nation prompted President Xi Jinping to cite him as one of the hundred most important pioneers of reform and for his help in the defense of Korea against American military aggression. The founding Prime Minister Zhou Enlai thanked him as well for allying himself with the country through its trials and tribulations.


The edifice, built in the Lingnan style of architecture, adjacent to the northern foot of Dajiao Mountain, locates itself next to the Nansha Tianhou Temple, Puzhou Garden and a water village street at the bank of a canal. The place contains six exhibition halls where accrue artifacts, videos, photos and texts recall the life and times of Fok Ying Tung who did so much for nation and peoples.
